EBW’s modern laboratory technology will test your horses’ faecal samples to an accuracy as low as 8 eggs per gram (EPG) using a modified McMaster testing technique. FECs are the first step in determining the presence of adult parasitic worms in your horse and the degree of egg-shedding by these adult worms – eggs that are contributing to contamination of your pastures.
Complete one FEC Data Sheet for each horse and follow these postage tips below:
- Shipping Instructions: triple-pack your horse’s faecal sample according to EBW’s 4 simple steps
- If you are sending just one sample within a ziplock bag instead of the recommended container, be aware that sometimes these are sorted through Australia Post’s ‘fast lane’ and the sample may be damaged. If you are going to do this, make sure you bulk up the package, e.g. with some bubble wrap.
